LAYOFFS, JOB SEARCH, & More
As we all know, our B2B SaaS space was impacted by a lot more layoffs last week: HubSpot, Sendoso, Alation, Splunk, followed by Dell & Zoom - see the latest in layoffs here.
It was a tough week. Leslie Barrett shared a great list of professionals who are looking for work, along with some openings on Saturday.
I’ve curated some resources to help those affected:
Who to follow on LinkedIn:
For Openings in the Space: Ciana Abdollahian (her feed where she posts about Customer Marketing & Open Jobs) Barbara Thomas & her feed full of job openings
Career advice: Claudia Miller - here’s a post she did on importance of mindset, selling yourself on your resume,
Advice on the Job Search: Cultivated Culture by Austin Belcak & one of his posts: The 1 thing companies want in hiring
Building Your Job Search Council: I’ve found it helps to search along with others, share insights into companies, the interview process, who you’ve heard from, and what looked/seemed weird.
In this event, they discuss building your job search council. I’m inviting everyone in the CMAweekly community to share in our Jobs channel. Last week we briefly discussed the importance of checking Glassdoor and how a lot of people won’t leave negative reviews so it’s important to see it as a red flag when they do.
Here’s a summary from my Cold Email Outreach approach to job searching.
And, I wanted to share what we need to know about Immigrants who’ve been laid off. This post hit me hard and I just want to help bring awareness to the issue.
